The memorial is the starting point for the trail leading from Skawica, through Krupowa Glade and to Krowiarki Pass. It was the last hike of Cardinal Karol Wojtyła before he was chosen the pope. Students from local schools follow this trail every year in September to commemorate this great Pole.
