The Old Inn from 1836 – not existing any more, whose owner probably was one of the Jewish families living in Zawoja. After the war it was inhabited by a local family. An inn was one of the most important places in every village. It was a place where you could not only find entertainment but most of all do bussiness. The inn was a place where you could decide on the price of something you wanted to sell or buy, you could find a person who would help you in the farm work or lend you some tools. It usually was situated near the church so very often those who entered it forgot about the mass.
